Premium electric bike maker, Gocycle, recently unveiled a new generation of their fold electric bikes based on a whole new drive system. The fourth generation of their bikes brings a raft of improvements over the previous generation including a new motor, lighter carbon-fiber components and improved tires.
We’ve previously covered Gocycle’s bikes in our 20 best folding electric bikes buying guide, but now Gocycle has gone a step further with their new G4, G4i and G4i Plus models which are available for order now.
The new G4drive has been developed to be quieter and still deliver a ton of torque and is combined with a reduction in weight of about 1kg through the use of more carbon fiber and a single-sided fork.

Additionally, the new G4 lineup iincludes MotoGP inspired treaded tires that are infused with a silica compound for superior grip and sure-footed handling. But the redesign doesn’t stop there. Gocycle has integrated a new USB port on the handlebar to allow the bike to charge your phone or other devices and also introduced a new fast charger that enables the new ebikes to be charged in 3 and 3.5 hours respectively.
In total, Gocycle’s updated ebikes make for an impressive generational leap. The new models retail as folows:
